Take a trip to beautiful Halong Bay, one of Vietnam's most popular destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cruise around craggy rock formations and islands, and relax each evening in comfortable, air-conditioned cabins. This comprehensive tour will take you to all of the key sites of Hanoi, capital of Vietnam since the 11th century. You will be dazzled by its unique blend of oriental lifestyle, French colonial architecture, tree-lined boulevards, and peaceful lakes.

Arrive Hanoi via the flight, your guide and private car will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 02: Hanoi City Tour

Depart for the mausoleum of the historic figure and father of modern Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh (viewed from outside; closed Mon and Fri and from Oct-Nov). Then it’s on to a wooden ethnic minority style house which was his temporary residence from 1954 – 1969. .

In the same complex you will see the One Pillar Pagoda, founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049. This structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi.

Your next stop will be the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university.  Constructed in 1070, the gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. Continue to West Lake and one of the oldest Buddhist pagodas in Hanoi, Tran Quoc, and the nearby Taoist temple of Quan Thanh which dates from the Ly Dynasty.

Have lunch in one of the cities finest restaurants before taking a walking tour through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, also known as the ‘36 streets’. This bustling area of narrow streets and alleys is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. It's a great place to explore, with plenty of photo opportunities all around you.

In the afternoon the Ethnology, Army or National Fine Arts Museum, will be visited next, time will only allow for one to be visited so decide which one you would most like to see. According to availability: Finish the day with a Water Puppet show. This is a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form depicting scenes from rural life and episodes of national history.

day 03: HANOI – HALONG bay

After breakfast, you will be picked up at hotel lobby and then embark on a 3.5 hr drive to Halong Bay. Check-in at Bhaya Café, Ha Long City.  Embark on Bhaya Classic for a Welcome drink followed by a cruise briefing.

Savor a delicious Vietnamese buffet lunch as Bhaya Classic heads to Bai Tu Long Bay passing the towns of Hon Gai and Cam Pha, Oan Lagoon, Mat Quy (Monster Head) and Am Tich (Teapot) Islets and Vung Vieng fishing village. Visit the fishing village by local rowing boat (1 hour) then return to the vessel for free time at your leisure or join one of the following optional activities: Kayak into the floating village or swim near the Bhaya (Kayaking is charged to your own accounts). Optional onboard activities: Sunbathing, traditional massage, etc.

Bhaya Classic cruises through the Bay to its overnight anchorage near Ho Dong Tien. Vietnamese cooking demonstration on the Sundeck. Sumptuous set-menu seafood dinner onboard. Take in the movie on the Lounge Deck or retire
to your cabin.

Day 04: Halong Bay - Hanoi

Start your day with Tai Chi on the Sundeck while complimentary tea and coffee are served. Bhaya Classic weighs anchor to cruise through the Bay passing beautiful spots like Trong (Drum), Trinh Nu (Virgin) and Me Cung Caves, Coc Ngoi (Toad) Islet, etc. Explore Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave.

Return to Bhaya Classic. Buffet brunch is served on board. The vessel cruises leisurely back to harbor. Disembark at Bhaya Café, Ha Long City. Meet with your guide and driver for a transfer back to Hanoi

Day 05: Hanoi Departure

Free at leisure until our guide and private car will meet you at the hotel and transfer you to the airport for your departure flight home. ith your guide and driver for a transfer back to Hanoi
